Wyoming Arts Council awards more than $9k to PAC’s no-school Fridays program

PINEDALE — Friends of the Pinedale Aquatic Center has been awarded a $9,107 A

rts Grant from the Wyoming Arts Council to support the Arts Spark program. Arts Spark brings hands-on arts experiences to Sublette County youth through both the Little Wrangler Day Camp and PAC’s new Friday no-school day program — PAC’s response to the four-day school week implemented this year.

The Arts Spark initiative connects professional artists and educators with students in creative, skill-building workshops across a range of disciplines — from visual art and drumming to movement and music. These arts experiences help students develop confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills, while also supporting local and regional artists.

“PAC has always been about enriching the lives of children and families in Sublette County,” said Stacie Moses, Friends of PAC board chair. “With the Wyoming Arts Council’s support, Friends of PAC is able to strengthen PAC’s arts programming in meaningful ways — giving kids more opportunities to learn, create, and express themselves year-round.”

The Arts Spark sessions are designed to fill a vital need for enrichment opportunities, offering structured, creative learning experiences in partnership with local artists like Mae Orm, Hayley Ruland, and Melissa Ryckman. The summer Little Wrangler Day Camp incorporated dynamic arts workshops as part of its weekly programming, and the new Little Wrangler Friday program will continue to integrate STEAM projects into its activities each week.

Funding from the Wyoming Arts Council — made possible through the National Endowment for the Arts and the Wyoming State Legislature — supports organizations that enhance arts learning across the state.
