Rocky Mountain Power Foundation supports swim lessons

Friends of PAC is grateful for the continued partnership with the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation to support the Pinedale Aquatic Center’s Learn-to-Swim program. The grant funds have been used to maintain quality swim lesson opportunities for the youth of Sublette County. Additionally, the grant funds have allowed PAC to continue offering the voucher program to the local elementary school. This program provides opportunities for every elementary student in the district to participate in learn-to-swim lessons. PAC provides lessons to every Pinedale Elementary School 3rd and 4th grade student as part of their PE curriculum, while vouchers for a session of free lessons are given to all other PES students grades K-5.

The Rocky Mountain Power Foundation is part of the PacifiCorp Foundation, one of the largest utility-endowed foundations in the United States. The foundation was created by PacifiCorp, an energy company that serves over 2 million customers across a diverse six-state region as Rocky Mountain Power (Utah, Wyoming and Idaho) and Pacific Power (Oregon, Washington and California). The foundation’s mission, through charitable investments, is to support the growth and vitality of the communities served by Rocky Mountain Power and Pacific Power. Since it started in 1988, the foundation has awarded more than $60 million to nonprofit organizations. For more information, visit www.rockymountainpower.net/foundation or www.pacificpower.net/foundation.

Friends of PAC’s mission is to ensure supplemental funding and community engagement for ongoing recreational services and facilities in support of the Pinedale Aquatic Center (PAC).

Thank you, Rocky Mountain Power, for your support of programs in our community!
